I hear ya. My work involves updating a LOT of outdated parts, and “re-engineering” dies that companies just don’t have the originals for.
Guess who owns most of the dies from the clients I’ve dealt with?
China.
We’re tied to them financially, commercially thru trade, and manufacturing. It sucks.

I worked as a machinist for many years. All we have here today is military work only because the government is required by law to have military work done here at home (or at least a percentage of it). Also companies such as Boeing won’t purchase parts made in China because if something happened it would look really bad that we didn’t have more control. Also, it’s required by law.
But all the commercial machine work is GONE!

I heard CNN earlier where a bunch of analysts were saying that the economy hit bottom, and that it would recuperate by the end of summer …. LOL!!!!!

Sure…they created the collapse to drop prices less than half for everything, then they think..they will buy it back at fire sale prices and then Jack Up the Economy and they would have made trillions.
