Peter Schiff 4/29/09 – CNN Campbell Brown

The host asks Peter to Grade Obama’s first 100 days in office. Peter: “I don’t grade on a curve, and I don’t believe in No President Left Behind, so I’m going to have to give him an F. The only reason it’s not an F- is because he hasn’t started a war.” Peter says that failure is a part of capitalism. The US should have let Chrysler fail in the 1970s, and the fact that it’s in trouble today proves that the 1970s bailout didn’t work.

  2. Jaycephus01 Says:

The illusion is that CNN puts a conservative or libertarian on for balance. But it is obvious that they now do these shows with 1 conservative and 3 or 4 statist shills for the sole purpose of beating up on the non-statist and producing statist propaganda.

  3. noone120000 Says:

are these host’s getting paid off by someone?

  8. gasellers Says:

We need to get rid of all the Anti-trust laws. They are subjective and evil. There is no way for a businessman to know whether or not he has broken the law until after a verdict has been handed down.

Those reporters are either plain ignorant or actually want to live in the United Communist States of America.
Those 4 are completely biased. Why they even offer to let Peter speak 10 seconds (and give him 6s only) is beyond me.

Ali is simply a Wall Street tool.

  17. FireGuyX Says:

That blond is so dumb, lets have 30 car companies because Ford, GM, and Chrysler is too big. Dumbest analogy ever.

Don’t wait until the dollar starts collapsing to prepare for hyperinflation because it will be too late. Read the articles and signup for the free newsletter at: Inflation . us

  19. Rudenewt Says:

LOL! “Let’s think about the average american”. Whoa, watch out, the “elites” are thinking about us again.

  20. Stormwern Says:

As much an ideological hack as the rest of them. Today’s economy is smoke and mirrors. You can work with it or seek to change it, but if you think we’re already in an imaginary free market where everything’s black and white, you’re not an economist, you’re a science fiction writer.

  21. Stormwern Says:

To make an analogy: America has run steady deficits for the last 100 years, most of it’s management is incompetent, corrupt or both, and it produces very little of use to anyone. Should we let America fail, split the union and be done with it, or could there infact be reasons beyond direct financial gain to try to salvage something.

  22. MattyS54 Says:

bald headed guy doesn’t understand economics. he doesn’t think about the ‘unforseen damage behind the scenes’ only political cheerleading. absolutely pathetic.

  23. l33t187 Says:

Yes so instead of letting them fail lets pour more and more money into failing companies and lets hope they sell cars, that’s how will run the country, on fake promises and dreams :)

  24. mreisma Says:

    talk about scripted reporting

  25. constrength Says:

So true!! True capitalism allows big business to fail so that other (better) companies can rise to the occassion, such as smaller businesses.
