  2. docgambee Says:

Name one thing that the gov’t has “jumpstarted”… ever. Education? I don’t think so. Social Security? Whatever. Health Care? Please. etc. etc.

Governments are NEVER the solution to a depression, and they are often the CAUSE of it.

The only thing that’s going to “jumpstart” our economy is if Gov’t gets out of the way. We’re the most prosperous country EVER for a reason, and it’s not because of gov’t regulations.

Less gov’t. More responsibility. Quit asking the gov’t to babysit us.

  3. docgambee Says:

The only way we’re going to get things turned around is by holding our congressmen and senators accountable, and removing them if they keep sending us down this road and replace them with people with principles.

The Presidential election hype is nothing more than a sideshow designed to distract us into thinking that it actually matters who’s President.

The President can’t lower your taxes. Only Congress can. President can’t pass laws. Only Congress can. Etc. Etc.

    Wake up America.

  4. docgambee Says:

The reason consumers don’t have money to put back into the economy is because Gov’t is too big and taxes way too much! Our dollar is worthless because of decades of forced inflation by the Fed Reserve.

“Gov’t is the only entity that could jumpstart the economy”???? Gimme a freakin’ break. The only way the gov’t can do anything is if they TAX YOU AND ME FIRST. Out of every dollar they TAX, only about $.20 (if that) is actually used for it’s “purpose”. The rest is lost in endless bureaucracy.

  5. docgambee Says:

I sure as hell wouldn’t have voted for Hillary, and DIDN’T vote for McCain. They wouldn’t have done any better. (and I didn’t vote for Bush either)

I agree with you on 2 things- 1) America was already heading down the wrong path before TARP. 2) No one was holding our elected officials accountable (and haven’t for decades…)

Obama has tried to turn that around? How?? By spending even more money?? He’s trying to make “socialism” more “efficient”, which is just ridiculous and impossible.

  6. ptypn Says:

And believe you me, I don’t have a , “don’t blame me, I voted for the other guy” mentality, even though you feel 99% of the population does. The problem was no one was holding our elected officials in Washington accountable, and I applaud Pres. Obama for trying to turn that around. It really baffles me that so many people in this country didn’t seem to care that Bush ran the federal decit to 1.3 trillion, but when Obama comes in, everyone is steaming mad…I wonder why…hmmm.

  7. ptypn Says:

Guess what docgambee, McCain and Hillary voted for TARP as well!!! But trust me, America was headed down the wrong path before Pres. Bush propsed TARP! Pres. Obama made the ARRA into law because consumers, in large part, do not have money to put back into the economy. Government was the only entity that could ultimately jumpstart the economy. Besides, I wrote my comment two months ago…why are you just now responding?

  8. docgambee Says:

LMAO. LMAO. So he came in with “lilly white hands”? PLEASE. He VOTED FOR the TARP program that was the start of this ridiculous bailout package! And now that he’s President, he’s done nothing but EXPAND it, makiing it even worse. So YES, he WAS and IS part of the problem.

That’s the problem with the average citizen and politics. 99% of the population has the “don’t blame me, I voted for the other guy” mentality. And as long as we keep arguing “party” over “principles”, we’re screwed.

Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.

  10. fkinyucnt Says:

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

The White House is like a gentlemens club where they for entertainment pretend to hate each other to the masses. They work for wallstreet and bankers. I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing powers should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs. –Thomas Jefferson

The auto industy is the United States. The average auto worker contributes thousands to charities, and local communities. Without the autoworker or the steel worker,or the construction worker, or the state worker, or the average hardworking American, there is no hope.
If you think that you’re uneffected by the auto industry then you sir or mam are blind! It is the corner stone of the US economy bar none.
So think about this the next time you pay Tokyo for your next car.

  18. ptypn Says:

    Zile77,
What does a tobacco tax have to do with any of the taxes you mentioned? In fact, many states are considering raising taxes on America’s “bad habits”(cigarettes, beer, porn) to makeup for the shortfalls in state revenues. In fact, I think the average smoker would rather pay an additional .39 cents for a pack of cigarettes than seeing their income, payroll, capital gains taxes go up.

  19. ptypn Says:

Actually, docgambee, Obama was not apart of the, “incredibly bad situation” when he was in the U.S. Senate. Let’s not forget that he was the most liberal senator, voting against 95% of Bush’s policies!

  20. ptypn Says:

    docgambee,
Trust me, I’m not using this as as excuse simply to justify the massive spening that is taking place…PRES. OBAMA TRULY DID INHERIT A BIG MESS!!! I don’t think anyone can deny that. Republicans elect those who they feel can best represent their ideals of fiscal discipline and smaller government, but they have definitey missed this mark this time around; there is nothing conservative about a $1.3 trillion deficit(which is what Bush passed on to Obama).

  21. bestwayusa1 Says:

check out John Riches shutten down detroit and the ibuyusa video on you tube the guy has great words. We cant be sheep and spellbound anymore by deceitful politicians, media, and forieign unfair trading countries wich are paying and owning these peoples greedy souls. They are not American Patriots They are about me not We.Support Fair trade Domestic owned. BUY USA on line and at stores. Country First !!!

  22. docgambee Says:

    ptypn-
And don’t forget… as Senator, Obama was part of the “incredibly bad situation” he “inherited”.

And you think he’s going to SAVE us??

  23. docgambee Says:

    ptypn-
I agree that we should praying for our country and those who lead it, regardless of politics- but PLEASE, don’t give me the crap about him “inheriting an incredibly bad situation”. Are we going to allow every President to use that excuse? Obama says it about Bush, Bush says it about Clinton, Clinton says it about Bush, etc. etc. etc. Gimmeabreak.

Wake up America- before it’s too late.

It’s like FDR once said, “If something happens in politics, you can bet it was planned that way.”

  24. SigalaSigala Says:

Barry Hussein thinks he can tell the auto companies what to do since they took government money-does that mean he has to do what China tells him since we take their money???

  25. ptypn Says:

And you’re absolutely right; I am bigger than this. It’s just unfortunate that so many Americans aren’t, resorting to degrading Obama in every way possible. If one is a proud American, then he should be praying for his country and those who lead it, regardless of his politics. (Well, that is what those of us with class would do)! Instead, I see quite the opposite.
